Background

The problem

Stone balustrades, building stone elements and kerbstones sit in exhaust, dust and rain: they yellow, blacken and streak. There are many of them spread over a wide area, pressure washing damages the surface and maintenance costs keep rising.

Surveyed substrate condition and defined the scope
Sample test for waterproofing and stain resistance
Surface cleaning and preparation
Two-layer application: nano protective primer + nano self-cleaning top coat
Result testing and acceptance after cure

Results

Results and value

Treated stone now sheets rain and sheds dust and exhaust grime; the internal barrier stops water absorption and efflorescence, extending element life and reducing municipal cleaning rounds.
