The problem

Standing at a city gateway, the sign faced dust, rain and UV year-round: the painted surfaces gathered dust and water marks and the metal letters faded, needing frequent wiping to keep up appearances.

Scope of work

What we did

Surveyed the sign and lettering materials and soiling
Specialist cleaning to remove dust, oil and water marks
Self-cleaning coating applied face by face to the plinth and 3D letters
Visual check and hand-over after cure

Results

Results and value

The sign now self-cleans in rain, dust no longer clings and the lettering keeps its colour — no more frequent wiping at the city gateway.
